Subject: Rirkrit Tiravanija

Dates: March 3 - April 2, 1994

Jack Hanley Gallery is pleased to present a project by Argentinian artist Rirkrit Tiravanija. Tiravanija creates installations that dislocate the usual hierarchical gallery atmosphere and create an connection with more democratic practices such as eating, that equalize the power structure.

This project will entail cooking on a "beauty" stove to the soundtrack of painting lessons while putting on display all the works in the gallery.
