Jack Hanley Gallery is pleased to announce a show of new work by New York artist Thom Merrick. Merrick, whose work has been shown both in the U.S. and Europe, creates site-specific pieces out of a variety of media. His use of industrial products (galvanized steel garbage cans, beams, bricks) comments on the commodification of culture and art, yet works on a very immediate physical and tangible level as well. Merrick attended the San Francisco Art Institute, and will be included in the international art exhibition "Documenta" this spring in Kassel, Germany.
