Jack Hanley Gallery is pleased to present the work of Los Angeles photographer Catherine Opie. This "Freeway Series" is a departure from the gender identity portraits for which Cathy is primarily known. These photographs are related to that series in that they both probe the gap between the ideal and the actual and explore the sensual realm of her community.
