Trans Avant-Garde Gallery is presenting a mixed media installation, "Scent," by Los Angeles artist Cliff Benjamin. The show will run from Monday, July 16 to Saturday, August 10.

Neon sculptures and large works on paper combine in a provacative assault on our fears of death, nature and sex. The paranoia of our present climate in the AIDS-infected 90's is expanded to include our alienation from animals, nature and impulses, and fears of the unfamilliar and taboo.

Cliff was born in Berkeley in 1955. He has shown extensively in the Los Angeles area.
