The Jack Hanley Gallery, San Francisco, is pleased to present the first US solo exhibition of the work of London-based artist Djordje Ozbolt, titled Meetings with Remarkable Men.  Inspired by a book of the same title by Georges Ivanovitch Gurdjieff, Ozbolt will present a series of portraits in acrylic on canvas or wood which range in style from expressionist and gestural to academic and restrained

Djordje Ozbolt was born in 1967 in Belgrade, Yugoslavia and received his MA in painting from the Royal Academy of Arts, London.  His work has been included in group shows at White Columns, New York; Jack Hanley Gallery, San Francisco and most notably in the 2006 Tate Triennial of New British Art at the Tate Britain, London.  He has had solo shows at Herald St., London; Taro Nasu Gallery, Tokyo and Monica De Cardenas, Milan.
