Jack Hanley Gallery is pleased to present a show of new work by artist Gustav Troger. As an Austrian, Troger is interested in the pig and its impact and place in Austrian culture. As an artist, he is interested in colors and their wide variety. From these observations, Gustav Troger investigates thoroughly, as would Sherlock Holmes, all aspects of the pig/pork, and color distribution. The Animal becomes a multicultured self portrait travelling between his two homes in Graz, Austria and Los Angeles, California.
