Jack Hanley Gallery is pleased to present the furthest the earth has been from the sun, a group exhibition organized by Paul Wackers.
Paul Wackers states that these works present an internal engine for production and come from a need to be seen. They try to understand the world outside of themselves as participants and not as observers. There is an energy within these works that serves to unify them. This energy can be joyous or it can be more brooding and emotive. Unique languages, motifs, and motives make themselves apparent through the work, remaining true to form without appeasing any easily understood reason.
Artists in the exhibition include Margot DeMarco, B. Thom Stevenson, Nick Van Woert, Margot Bird, Carly Jean Andrews, Rachel Stern, Francesca DiMattio, Benny Merris, Halsey Hathaway, Jolynn Krystosek, and Bradley Sizemore.
